The Research pages are organized into big themes/subjects, like “education” or “economic growth” and then, within those, I have tried to organize the material into identifiable “ideas.” The unit of organization in economic academia tends to be the “paper” which is a very detailed element, but hopefully these elements are organized into conveying the new ideas from my research–facts, theories, visions, narratives–that people did not already have. For instance, within “Economic Growth” there is a page about “Growth Dynamics” around the idea that the dynamics of economic growth in developing countries, unlike in the OECD, are strongly episodic and consist of large shifts in growth, often around sharply identified transitions.
